The oil refining and chemical industries have many electrical motor driven reciprocating compressors that are critical components of their operation. Typically, these units are used for hydrogen and other non-natural gas compression duties where the gas is used in the refining process. When one of these units fail, that portion of the refinery is effectively shut down until the machine is repaired or replaced. Windrock offers both the 3300 on-line system and the 6300 portable analyzer technology for performance monitoring to increase the availability and profitability of the refining and chemical industry.
Pipeline companies are large users of natural gas fired reciprocating engines driving reciprocating compressors to deliver natural gas through pipelines to users. Pipeline companies require a pumping station about every 200 miles of pipeline. A pumping station usually uses about 5 to 8 machines for gas pumping, with a total station horsepower of about 12,000 to 20,000 HP.
Windrock offers both the 3300 on-line system and the 6310 portable analyzer technology for performance monitoring to increase the availability and profitability of these engines and compressors.
The 6210 is well suited for engine balancing, emissions testing, load curve generation and general troubleshooting. The 6310/CA is used for engine balancing.
Reciprocating engines and compressors are heavily used in the production of oil and natural gas from wells both on and off land. Engine driven compressors are used to pump natural gas from wells for delivery to Pipelines. In addition, many reciprocating machines are used to inject natural gas back into oil wells in order to pressurize the oil well to improve the crude yield from the well. This technique is used extensively on off-shore production units.
The 3300, 6210, 6310, 6310/CA products are well suited for the industry.
The marine shipping industry relies heavily on very large reciprocating diesel engines for propulsion and power generation. Windrock offers both the 6100 on-line system and the 6300 portable analyzer technology to increase the availability and profitability of these engines.
The 3300, 6310, 6310/CA products are well suited for the industry.
Open pit mines rely on self propelled drag-line shovels for extracting materials. These are large complex machines in a very demanding environment. Windrock designed and manufactured a rugged, shock mounted system for Barrick Goldstrike mines, a well respected company in the mining industry. To date the end user has stated the system has saved them hundreds of thousands of dollars in maintenance costs and downtime by detecting and alarming on a number of developing problems. One instance alone saved them $250K on a gearbox problem.
The 6310 products are well suited for the industry.
