08/26/99 -- Windrock, Inc., a Knoxville, TN, based company announces the release of a new product for balancing engines and measuring primary and secondary ignition voltages.
The Model 6310/CA is a small, rugged data collector which allows the operator to balance an engine using either average Peak Firing Pressure (PFP, Mean Effective Pressure (MEP), or Indicated Horsepower (IHP). Various statistical reports and graphical displays offered in the Windows-based software aid the operator in balancing the engine efficiently.
The primary and secondary ignition voltages may also be measured using the 6500. A statistical summary report of the secondary voltage and firing angles immediately indicates the overall condition of each spark plug, cable and coil.
Windrock, Inc. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of portable and online monitoring and diagnostic sensors and systems for reciprocating machinery. Its products are used world-wide by operators, engineers and maintenance personnel to monitor, trend, alarm and diagnose the mechanical condition and performance of reciprocating engines, compressors and pumps.
