Clients Rushing to Lower Maintenance Costs with
RECON ROM Systems

Dec-16-2004 - Windrock industry partner, Dresser-Rand Control Systems, built and shipped a record number of RECON reciprocating on-line module (ROM) systems in 2004. These modular systems, specifically built to meet the monitoring and diagnostic needs of reciprocating units, are powered by the industry-proven Windrock On-GuardTM system.

On December 16, 2004 a new milestone was achieved at Dresser-Rand Control Systems’ Houston facility with the execution of two simultaneous ROM factory acceptance tests. One of the ROM systems will be installed on a new, four-throw hydrogen process reciprocating compressor being commissioned at a refinery in Oklahoma. The second system will be installed on a two-throw hydrogen process reciprocating compressor in Texas. Both of these clients have come to rely on the high level of diagnostics and machinery protection afforded by the patented On-GuardTM platform. These RECON ROM systems are expected to pay for themselves, through maintenance cost savings, within the first year of operation.
