New 6320 vs Old 6310The 6320 is the “Next” Generation of portable analyzer and a true leap in technology over any reciprocating analyzer made today. Signal processing on the 6320 is accomplished by up to four digital signal processors (DSP’s), coupled with a powerful AMD Geode main processor. Since each channel has its own dedicated DSP, an unlimited number of filters or signal processing techniques are possible without any changes to the hardware. Different filtering definitions are accomplished simply by reprogramming the DSP processor. Each DSP operates independently so each channel is capable of analyzing any signal type. The 6320 boasts a 250 KHz, 16-bit A/D converter for each channel for normal analysis functions plus a 14-bit, 1 MHz A/D converter for ignition analysis. This means that the 6320 has 16 times the resolution of current reciprocating machinery analyzers on the market. Any channel is capable of utilizing any type of sensor or performing any type of analysis. Each channel can process vibration, pressure, temperature, ignition, proximity sensors, or any 4-20 mA or voltage sensor. The 6320’s main processor runs at 500MHz, meaning response time for screens, reports, etc. are about 4 times faster than the 6310. The 6320’s processor takes advantage of power saving modes so that the battery life of the 6320 is greater than the 6310. Users will notice that the time resolution of ignition analysis is greater than the best analyzer currently available, the 6310. Time resolution is 1 MHz vs the 6310’s 300 KHz sampling rate. This means that even more detail can be seen in the ignition waveforms taken with the 6320. The Linux operating system allows the analyzer to work with today’s USB printers, Ethernet interfaces, and off-the- shelf applications. It is possible to run web browsers, or any software that runs on Linux. Linux, coupled with the DSP processing, makes this analyzer almost infinitely expandable. We now have the processing capability, memory and interfacing options to deal with tomorrow’s analysis needs. We have reorganized and expanded the keypad to be more User friendly, adding additional function keys and another enter key on the opposite side. The weight has been reduced by drilling out the aluminum extrusions of the case to remove unnecessary weight while maintaining its ruggedness. Data acquisition speed has been increased dramatically so now real time data can be collected on your fastest machines up to 1,800 RPM. The 6320 is now approved for Cl. 1, Gr. A,B,C,D, Div. II hazardous environments. Certification is available as an option.
