The Windrock Users' Group is an annual summer conference that focuses on training the users of Windrock's portable and online equipment. Once a year, we invite all of the Windrock users and their families from around the world to come join us. Our meeting location changes every year!
The three-day educational conference is a forum for Windrock product users to learn from each other in a group environment. The conference includes presentations from Windrock's Technical Services group, presentations from
featured guest speakers, group discussions where we encourage users to share their field experience/methods, and case studies presented by users which demonstrate problem solving at its best. We also discuss new technology as well as new features and functions that have been added to our products during the past year.
We also find time to squeeze in a bit of family fun as we host a "Welcome Dinner" on the eve of Users' Group, allowing everyone a chance to get to know each other. Another evening, we host an event at an area attraction that usually includes dinner and entertainment. We encourage all of our users to join in this annual event and experience some Southern hospitality.

This year's event was our best yet! 75 of our Users and Guests from 16 U.S. states, the United Kingdom, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Trinidad, Canada and Mexico met for our 14th Annual Windrock Users Group Meeting at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville, North Carolina from June 20 – 23, 2011.
Our annual Users' Group event is our way to help our Users' increase knowledge from technical presentations, case studies and others experiences while networking with industry peers. This year's meeting was a historic opportunity for the combined RECIP-TRAP and Windrock portable and online product users to share the meeting for the first time. Windrock revealed plans for future product development and addressed areas of concern for our newly acquired customers. We also rolled out plans to continue development of an Analyst Support Program.
Windrock staff of Tech Services experts covered a variety of topics:
Guest presenters shared their areas of expertise:
Asheville is located in western North Carolina and is renowned for local arts and crafts. Our hotel was located within walking distance of downtown which has art galleries, unique restaurants, and beautiful public spaces that invite outdoor activities.
Windrock hosted a kick-off dinner at the hotel on the first night to give families a chance to get to know one another as we started our conference. On Wednesday, we played host to a visit to Biltmore Winery, a private tour of the historic Biltmore Estate (billed as Americas only castle”) and then an elegant dinner on the grounds of the estate at the Deerpark Inn.
Plans have already begun for next years 15th Annual Windrock Users Group Meeting event!
